Retgen Emails
Keeping Retgen alarm and report emails out of your spam / junk folder
Retgen alarms and reports reach you by email. This page explains what you can do so they don't land in your spam / junk folder.
1. Add our sender to your safe senders
Alarm and report emails are sent from app.mailer@retgen.com.
- Gmail / Google Workspace open the email in Spam and click “Not spam”, then add the address to your contacts.
- Outlook / Microsoft 365 select the email in Junk Email and choose “Not junk”, then keep “Always trust email from…” ticked in the dialog that opens.
- Other providers (Yandex, Yahoo, company mail on cPanel or Plesk, and so on): add the address to the safe senders list or allow list in your webmail settings, or ask your IT team.
If alarm or report emails appear neither in your inbox nor in your spam folder, they may be held in your company's admin quarantine. Ask your IT team.
2. For your company's IT team
Our emails are DKIM-signed (d=retgen.com), and retgen.com publishes a DMARC policy. Every email sent directly by us passes SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
- Email groups and forwarding: alarm and report emails may be distributed through an email group (distribution list, Microsoft 365 Group, Google Group) or an automatic forward (auto-forward, redirect). In that case the group must not modify the message:
- no subject tag or prefix, for example [Alarm];
- no footer, disclaimer or external-sender banner in the body.
A modified message invalidates the DKIM signature. SPF always fails on a forwarded copy, so DMARC fails, and the receiving server may send the message to spam or quarantine. Groups that don't modify the message work without problems.
- Allow rule: in Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) or Google Workspace, a mail flow (transport) rule or an approved-sender setting can skip spam filtering for app.mailer@retgen.com.
- ARC: if a group or gateway that modifies messages is in the path, add it as a trusted ARC sealer (Microsoft 365: Trusted ARC sealers).
- Quarantine: check that emails from this address aren't held in the admin quarantine.
